Edinburgh based documentary photographer

Hi, I’m Jack - a freelance documentary photographer based in Edinburgh, Scotland. I have been capturing stories since 2019 and have been working across a range of commercial, editorial and personal projects ever since.

I believe some of the best moments in photography come through patience and being present with the moment you are in, and that approach shapes the way I work. Combining a documentary approach that is quiet yet attentive with my background in researching visual culture, my style infuses real moments and emotions with the essence of the bigger picture to create timeless images that bring you into that very moment.

Since 2022, I’ve been photographing weddings in the same documentary spirit. I’m most interested in working with couples who value authentic experiences. People who want the small, in-between moments remembered just as much as the big ones.
